Another benefit of the Jordan Pass is that it allows visitors to bypass the ticket lines at many of the attractions, which can save time and make the visit more enjoyable.

It is worth to consider if you are planning to visit many of the sites included in the pass, and if you’re going to take advantage of all the benefits that it offers. For example, it may not be worth it if you’re only planning to visit one or two sites.

However, if you’re planning to visit several sites during your trip, the Jordan Pass can be a great value and a convenient way to experience all that Jordan has to offer. It is also worth to check if there are any discounts available, as it may vary on different seasons and availability.

Petra is an ancient city located in southern Jordan that is known for its intricate rock-cut architecture and stunning natural beauty. The city was built by the Nabateans, a nomadic Arab tribe, around the 6th century BC. They carved the city into the rocks using only simple tools, creating a unique architectural style that is still visible today. Petra was a major trade center in ancient times and was known for its wealth and cultural significance.

The Siq Trail is a narrow canyon that leads to the ancient city of Petra in Jordan. The trail is approximately 1.2 kilometers long and is considered to be the main entrance to the city. The trail is lined with towering cliffs on either side, which rise up to 80 meters high, and it is a spectacular sight to see.

When visiting Petra, it is important to note that the city is quite large and can take several days to fully explore. The most famous site within Petra is the Treasury, which is a monument carved into the rock face that is the first thing visitors see when entering the city. Visitors can also explore the Monastery, the Street of Facades, and the Royal Tombs, among many other sites.

You should also be prepared for a bit of a hike, as some of the sites within Petra and little Petra require a walk of several kilometers. Comfortable shoes, water, and sun protection are essential. Visitors can also hire a horse-drawn carriage or a donkey for those who cannot make the walk.

2. Explore the Wadi Rum Desert

The Wadi Rum Desert is a must-see destination for those visiting Jordan. This desert landscape is home to a variety of unique rock formations and sand dunes that are perfect for exploring by camel or jeep. I recommend staying with a local bedouin camp and learn about their way of life.

Visitors can stay in tents or traditional Bedouin homes and enjoy traditional meals and activities. Many camps also offer activities such as camel rides, desert trekking, and stargazing. Some also offer luxury tents, comfortable bedding and bathroom facilities.

The Dead Sea is one of the most unique bodies of water in the world. The Dead Sea is a salt lake located in the Jordan Rift Valley, between Jordan and Israel. It is known for its high salt content, which makes it impossible for fish or other aquatic life to survive, and for its healing properties.

The Dead Sea is the lowest point on Earth, with an elevation of around 417 meters below sea level. This low elevation and the high salt content of the water make it a popular destination for those seeking relief from skin conditions and other health issues. The mineral-rich mud found on the shores of the Dead Sea is also believed to have therapeutic properties. My friend and I took a mud bath, and it was an incredible experience!

Visitors to the Dead Sea can float on the surface of the water due to its high salt content, which makes it much more buoyant than regular seawater. They can also enjoy the natural mud baths, which are known to have healing properties.

There are several public beaches along the Jordan side of the Dead Sea where visitors can access the water and enjoy the facilities such as restrooms, showers, and changing rooms. It is important to note that visitors should avoid ingesting the water and should also avoid staying in the sun for too long, as the high salt content can dry out the skin and cause sunburn. There are also hotels and restaurants along the way!
